Once upon a time a lonely coral was looking for someone to love. Her name was Cora.
One day a charming, little algae came along. Her name was Alga and they immediately fell in love.

Unlike us, they evolved to stay together forever. Alga is converting sunlight into energy in a process called photosynthesis. This helps our couple to stay alive.
Today coral reefs offer a home for 1/4 of all ocean life. That's why the relationship between Cora and Alga is so important.
While you are reading this our oceans are getting warmer and Alga is sick. If she gets too weak she won't be able to hold on to Cora any longer.
